Staff Sgt. Mikhail Berlin, 445th Airlift Wing Public Affairs photographer, spent ten days over the summer in Israel as part of the Taglit-Birthright Israel program. The not-for profit organization sponsors a free 10-day heritage trip to Israel for Jewish young adults ages 18 to 26 who are at least 25 percent Jewish. The program allows participants the opportunity to learn about the country, its history, the Jewish religion, and various traditions.

During the trip, Berlin was able to capture various images of unique experiences he encountered while in Israel.
