Deployed 445th SFS reservist named Warrior of the Month
While deployed, Worch has managed nine humanitarian assistance projects, totaling more than $763,000. His job entails ensuring HA projects are approved, funded, and on track once construction has started. Worch was recently involved in the construction of a new roof for the Leninskoe Village Kindergarten, in Leninskoe, Kyrgyzstan, Dec. 6, 2013. The $45,000 roofing project was finished in less than a month and was the final touch in the complete overhaul of the school, which in total, took about one year.
Worch's dedication to the local community extends past his work as an HA program manager. He is a focal point for all community partnerships that organizations on base have. He tracks, reports and coordinates community partnership activities for every squadron, letting leadership know the status of on-going events within the community partnership program.
Worch is active throughout the Wing Support Agency as a sports representative. He's a member of the deployed AF Marathon planning committee and has provided valuable input to increase the overall safety and success of the event. He ran in an Air Force Marathon hosted by the Transit Center at Manas Sept. 2, running the full marathon in 3 hours, 33 minutes, 33 seconds, the fastest time for an Airman at TCM.
