AF Reserve colonel promotion board postponed due to government shutdown

BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. --   Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced here today the postponement of the calendar year 2013 Air Force Reserve line and nonline colonel promotion selection boards and special boards/special selection boards originally scheduled for next week.

Due to the government shutdown, the boards are rescheduled to convene Nov. 4 - 9.

All eligibility requirements outlined in previous guidance remain unchanged. Milestones and notable dates are as follows:

Sept. 30, 2009 - no change. Date of rank must be on or before this date to be eligible to meet the mandatory board.

Oct. 29, 2013 - change. Officer selection records will be extracted for the board.

Nov. 3, 2013 - change. Letters to the board will be due.

Nov. 4, 2013 - change. Boards convene at ARPC.

Results will be publicly released after adjournment, normally 6 to 8 weeks after the boards.

Jan. 6, 2014 - no change. Officer's date of separation must be on or later than this date to be eligible for promotion consideration.
