Two 445th Airlift Wing Airmen were recognized as part of Military Appreciation Day at the Great American Ball Park, home of the Cincinnati Reds, Aug. 29.

Tech. Sgt. Tiffany Watkins and Staff Sgt. Scott Trivett, 445th Civil Engineer Squadron, were recognized at the pregame ceremony with several other Airmen from Wright-Patterson AFB who recently returned from a deployment. Sergeants Watkins and Trivett served at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan from September 2008 to March 2009. While there, they worked with local Afghan craftsmen as part of a new program to certify and recruit local workers for construction projects on base.

The event also included an oath of enlistment administered by Col Brad Spacy, 88th Air Base Wing commander, for new enlistees on the field.

Wright-Patterson's Air Force Band of Flight played the national anthem while the honor guard, led by Master Sgt. Mark Lyle, 445th Airlift Wing and Superintendent for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Honor Guard posted the colors.

For the finale, a massive 445th Airlift Wing C-5 Galaxy flew over the Great American Ball Park scoreboard for a beautiful exhibit of military pride against a magnificent blue sky.
