655th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing

The 655th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Wing is an Independent wing under the 10th Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command, headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The organization officially became a wing Sept. 20, 2018, consisting of two Groups and 14 Classic Associate Unit intelligence squadrons across seven different states conducting 10 distinct missions.

    From Nov. 5-8, 2019, Airmen from the 23rd Intelligence Squadron organized and hosted Air Combat Command’s Publicly Available Information Working Group (PAI WG). Members from throughout the Department of Defense met to discuss PAI success stories, identify and implement best practices, and determine the way forward for program growth.

David Meyers, 718th Intelligence Squadron, stepped up to assist the 718th IS’ sister unit, the 45th Intelligence Squadron, as forensic intelligence program manager, responsible for a team of 23 analysts who conducted 24/7 Gorgon Stare 2 (GS2) Post-Ingest Exploitation (PIE) imagery analysis.

    The 718th Intelligence Squadron, assigned to the 655th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing, was requested to attend Trident Spectre 19 where it had the opportunity to engage in the development of innovative intelligence technology.

    The 655th Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group bid farewell to one of its original members, Master Sgt. Todd Cook, in a retirement ceremony held here April 21. Cook retired after 23 years of service spanning across Active Duty, the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve from 1995 to 2018 working in the air traffic control, personnel, medical technician, education and training, intelligence mission training, and deployment and readiness career fields.
