Loadmasters from the 89th Airlift Squadron load a fire truck on a 445th Airlift Wing C-17 Globemaster III Nov. 8, 2017. The wing received a request through the Denton Program to move a fire truck from Ohio to Belize City, Belize. The fire truck, a 1981 Pierce Arrow model donated by the Beechwold Christian Church in Columbus, Ohio was off-loaded at Belize’s Phillip S. W. Goldson International Airport with its final destination of Cave Caulker, a small island off the coast of Belize. The Denton Program allows private U.S. citizens and organizations to use space available on U.S. military cargo planes to transport humanitarian goods to countries in need. The program is jointly administered by the U.S. Agency for International Development, Department of State, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency and the Department of Defense.
