WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- I echo the words of Lt. Gen. Scobee (commander, Air Force Reserve Command) “our guidance surrounding COVID-19 is consistently evolving, which means providing precise and detailed planning is difficult.”
I want each of you to know that taking care of you, our Airmen, and your families is the top priority of 445th Airlift Wing leadership. I am working closely with the 88th ABW installation commander to ensure the safety and well-being of the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base community. I have directed an Ad Hoc message go out to all 445th AW Airmen requiring a response from each Airman. It is important for us to know those who have traveled to a level 2 or 3 location. Please respond appropriately and as quickly as possible.
My goal is to communicate with you and make sure your questions and concerns are addressed. Please contact your unit’s senior Air Reserve Technician with any questions or concerns you have, and a response will be provided.
To ensure the safety of our Airmen and their families, we will be postponing both UTAs in April. Group commanders will decide at a later date when these will be rescheduled. Please take this time to care for yourselves and your families.
As the cases of COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the nation, ALL Airmen must ensure that they are adhering to CDC, Department of Defense, Air Force, local and regional guidelines. These guidelines are in place to protect you and your families.

Telework considerations
The option for members to telework is being considered for some of our workforce. There are requirements involved that must legally be followed:
1) Units should first identify the civilian positions that are telework eligible.
2) Next, units should determine if employees in telework ready positions have opted to telework.
If so, they must have a current signed DD Form 2946, a telework agreement and have completed the required training. Please contact your supervisor for training information.
