445 AW and 655th ISRG Airmen selected during recent RSSB Published Aug. 22, 2014 By 445th Airlift Wing Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Air Force Personnel Center officials released results from the semi-annual Reserve School Selection Board Aug. 21, 2014. Twenty-two 445th Airlift Wing and 655th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group officers were among the selectees. The board convened July 14-18 to match selected members to their respective schools based upon the needs of the Air Force Reserve and consideration for the individual's school preferences. Board members selected 379 of the 942 applicants. Congratulations to the following reservists; Maj. Kevin Sullivan, 445th Airlift Wing Inspector General, mobility pilot, was selected to attend the Advanced Joint Professional Military Education Course in April 2015. Lt. Col. Michael Baker, 445th Airlift Wing Safety Office, chief of safety, was selected to attend the Reserve Component National Security Course in January 2015. Col. David Owens, Jr., 445th Operations Group commander, was selected to attend the Reserve Component National Security Course in January 2015. Lt. Col. Charles Destefani, 445th Airlift Wing Inspector General, was selected to attend the Reserve Component National Security Course in April 2015. Capt. Jeremiah Brown, 89th Airlift Squadron C-17 pilot, and Capt. Cletus Schafrath, 445th Logistics Readiness Squadron flight commander, were both selected to attend Squadron Officer School, 4th Quarter, in November 2014. Capts. Robert Alwine and Dennis Youngpeter, flight nurses assigned to the 445th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, were both selected as alternates to attend Squadron Officer School, 4th Quarter, in November 2014. Capt. Samuel Hulett, 71st Intelligence Squadron flight commander, was selected to attend Squadron Officer School, 1st Quarter, in March 2015. Maj. Eric Bernkopf, 71st Intelligence Squadron flight commander, and Majs. Joseph Burkhead, deputy flight commander, and Diana Cable, flight commander, both assigned to the 64th Intelligence Squadron, were selected to attend the Leadership Today and Tomorrow Course in April 2015. Maj. Sara Reed, 655th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group director of operations, Majs. Michael Rubeling, Francis Saul, III and Benjamin Yoder, all C-17 pilots assigned to the 89th Airlift Squadron, were selected to attend the Leadership Today and Tomorrow Course in April 2015. Maj. Rodney Silva, 64th Intelligence Squadron team officer-in-charge, was selected as an alternate to attend the Leadership Today and Tomorrow Course in April 2015. Capt. LaToya Simmons, 64th Intelligence Squadron officer, was selected to attend the Junior Officer Leadership Development Course in February 2015. First Lt. Kevin Kramer, 64th Intelligence Squadron officer, was selected to attend the Junior Officer Leadership Development Course in May 2015. Capt. Ruben Javier Varona, 71st Intelligence Squadron deputy flight commander, was selected as an alternate to attend the Junior Officer Leadership Development Course in May 2015. Capt. Ryan Armstrong, 89th Airlift Squadron C-17 pilot, and Capt. Leslie Mugg, 445th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron flight nurse, were both selected to attend the Reserve Officer Development Course in October 2014.
