WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, OHIO -- In preparation for the August 2017 Patriot Warrior exercise, the 445th Aeromedical Staging Squadron is conducting intense training for the event so their Airmen are prepared for it. Some of the training being conducted includes litter transport and CCAT (Critical Care Air Transport Team) training. Each unit training assembly weekend will have one dedicated day of such training to prepare the ASTS Airmen.
Patriot Warrior, the Air Force Reserve Command portion of an immense joint field exercise involving nearly 6,000 Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers and multinational forces. Formerly known as Global Medic, the exercise focuses primarily on aeromedical evacuation training and readiness, but has evolved to become more multi-faceted.
