Sixteen reservists from the 445th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron and one reservist from the 911th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station, participated in a three-day training event that involved loading and unloading patients and equipment onboard an aircraft and using simulated patients to run medical and aircraft emergency scenarios while in flight.

The training involved using a C-130 Hercules from Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, for the training that took place on the ground and in the air.
