The 445th Airlift Wing just wrapped up another inspection as a team from Headquarters, Air Mobility Command, conducted an Aircrew Standardization/Evaluation Visit Nov. 16-20.
By giving the wing an overall assessment of "mission ready," the ASEV team validated the wing is mission ready and complying with the day-to-day standards that govern flight operations. This evaluation was a comprehensive inspection of aircrew training support, training and standardization and evaluation programs at the operations group and squadron levels. Areas specifically inspected and graded were special interest items, aircrew standardization/evaluation, training, tactics, and aircrew performance.

Part of the ASEV also included aircrew check rides, closed book exams and written testing.

At the conclusion of the ASEV out brief, Lt. Col. Matt Holm, AMC/A3VX, presented the Outstanding Airmanship certificates to Master Sgt. Jeremy Turner, 89th Airlift Squadron; Master Sgt. Roberto Garcia, Jr., 89th Airlift Squadron; and Staff Sgt. Anna Tall, 445th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. Colonel Holm also presented the Outstanding Program certificate to Senior Master Sgt. Brian Fowle, 445th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, for the aeromedical equipment program.

Special recognition was given to Lt. Col. David Marlin and Senior Master Sgt. Robert Welshhans, Jr., both from the 445th Operations Group, aircrew standardization/evaluation office, for outstanding support.

Col. Roger Gallet, 445th Operations group commander, applauded the work of his team and thanked them for their hard work and dedication to the wing. "I'm very proud of all of you. The inspection is over and we did a great job. Now we can take a deep breath and really enjoy the holidays."
