445th AW supports Panama humanitarian mission
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio - Senior Master Sgt. Rose Harris, 445th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, reviews a patient's health forms, guiding them to the appropriate deployed 445th medical care personnel and local ministry of health officials Aug. 20. The patients were seen at Panama's Ministry of Education C.E.B.G. Manuel J. Rodriguez School located in Tecue, Coclé District in Panama. Thirty Airmen from the 445th AMDS and 445th Aeromedical Staging Squadron traveled to Central America with Airmen from March Air Reserve Base, Calif., Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., Robins Air Force Base, Ga., Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, N.Y., and Westover Air Reserve Base, Mass., in Central America as part of a humanitarian mission to support Panama Medical Readiness Training Exercise (MEDRETE) Aug. 18 to Aug. 31, providing more than 9,000 dental, dermatological, general medicine, optometry and ophthalmology services to more than 5,000 residents living in remote areas who have limited or no access to medical care.
