WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – NASA’s Super Guppy stands ready as 12 Airmen from the 87th Aerial Port Squadron prepare to unload NASA’s first Shuttle Crew Compartment Trainer from the aircraft Aug. 23. With help from NASA loadmasters and National Museum of the United States Air Force restoration specialists, the CCT-1 was moved from the Super Guppy to the museum’s Cold War Gallery where its interior will be reassembled then put on display for the general public when it is moved to a new Space Gallery in the museum’s planned fourth building.
