Final 445th AW C-5 mission
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – 89th Airlift Squadron crew members who partook in the 445th Airlift Wing’s last mission of the C-5 Galaxy here Sept. 28 reflect on their experiences in the aircraft. The crew flew in the local area conducting touch and goes as part of its final mission. C-5’s have been assigned to the 445th since 2005 and are being replaced by the C-17 Globemaster III.
