445th AW C-5 Galaxy thrills young aviation buff
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – Aviation buff Austin Whitmoyer, 13, and his brother, Tyler, 11, on the left, learn the logistics of the C-5 Galaxy from Lt. Col. Stephen Schnell, 89th Airlift Squadron, April 16. The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force and Colonel Schnell, with assistance from A Special Wish Foundation, Inc., coordinated the visit for Austin and his family. In addition to touring the C-5, Austin and his family visited the museum. Austin was born with duchenne muscular dystrophy, a degenerative disease that affects all major muscle groups. (U. S.
