Team Wright-Patt provides sendoff to DC bound veterans
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – McKenzie Neri, daughter of Staff Sgt. Mike Neri, 445th Airlift Wing, holds a sign for 35 World War II and Korean veterans and their families as they boarded a bus in front of the American Legion Post in Piqua, Ohio, for a weekend trip to Washington, D.C., Oct. 2. The group received a special sendoff from active duty, reserve and civilians stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, as well as local school children, community leaders and government employees.
