AES "hot load" training
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio - First Lt. Dennis Youngpeter secures the rear crew door under the watchful eye of Capt. LeDonna Schreffler, both assigned to the 445th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. Lieutenant Youngpeter and Captain Schreffler were preparing the C-130 Hercules aircraft from Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, for a medical evacuation training flight. Sixteen reservists from AES participated in the three-day training event that involved loading and unloading patients and equipment onboard the aircraft and using simulated patients to run medical and aircraft emergency scenarios while in flight.
