Aircrew Flight Equipment section keeps crews safe
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio - Tech. Sgt. Tim Leedy, 445th Operations Support Squadron, Aircrew Flight Equipment Section, inspects a 358 smoke mask. The smoke mask is used for aircrew in the event of fire or smoke on the C-5 Galaxy flight deck. There are 21 masks on the flight deck of each C-5. Each mask must be inspected every 30 days which means the aircrew flight equipment section must inspect 210 masks each month. (Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Amanda Duncan)
