Transporting critically ill
SAN ANTONIO -- Capt. Edwin Maldonado (center) helps move a critically ill Soldier from a C-141 Starlifter into an ambulance at San Antonio International Airport on April 29. Captain Maldonado was part of the critical care air transport team of medics from Wilford Hall and Brooke Army medical centers that ensured 14 servicemembers injured in Iraq were moved safely to BAMC.
