445th Maintenance Squadron Change of Command

During a Change of Command Ceremony on August 3, 2008, Lt. Col. Michael E. Clark (center) relinquished command of the 445th Maintenance Squadron to Maj. Jay M. Smeltzer (right). Col. Anna M. Schulte (left), Commander of the 445th Maintenance Group, presided over the ceremony and will welcome Colonel Clark as he moves up and accepts the responsibilities of being the deputy commander for the 445th Maintenance Group. "It's been a great ride," said Colonel Clark as he addressed his squadron for the last time. "The lessons you have taught me along the way I will use not just as a reservist, but also in my life, he added. As Major Smeltzer assumed command he offered these words to his new squadron. "Everything we do here counts. When these planes leave here, other Airmen are depending on them. Don't ever forget that." (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Ken LaRock)
