Walk through Boneyard is a walk through history
DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. - The sun setting behind the mountains March 5 highlights aircraft in storage at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG), often called “The Boneyard.” AMARG, an Air Force aircraft and missile storage and maintenance facility located at Davis-Monthan, takes care of more than 4,400 aircraft, which makes it the largest aircraft storage and preservation facility in the world.
