Last two 445 AW C-5s doing well in Arizona
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – Two former 445th Airlift Wing C-5 Galaxy aircraft sit with C-5s from Martinsburg Air National Guard, West Virginia, and Tennessee Air National Guard, Memphis, Tenn., at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group, also known as “The Boneyard,” Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., March 5, 2014. The aircraft are in permanent storage and retirement. Tail number 70-0457 left the wing for Arizona Jan. 31, 2012. It was the last C-5 to leave the wing.
