2015 Dayton VA Medical Center Stand down
DAYTON, Ohio – Maj. Kimberly Ebel, 445th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, assists veterans during the Dayton Veterans Affair’s Medical Center Homeless Stand down October 29, 2015. More than 10 members of the 445th Airlift Wing volunteered for the event. This year’s homeless stand down provided a meal, clothing, health screenings, VA and Social Security benefits counseling, and referrals to a variety of other necessary services, such as: housing, employment, substance abuse and mental health treatment services to more than 300 veterans. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness for the difficulty in which Veterans and their families endure. (U.S. Air Force photo /Tech. Sgt. Patrick O’Reilly)
