Wing blood drive supports American troops overseas
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – Airman 1st Class Tyler Bennett, laboratory technician with the 88th Medical Group, prepares Tech. Sgt. Athena Yacoumakis, assistant non-commissioned officer in charge with the 445th Operations Support Squadron, to give blood during a blood drive event held at the 445th Aerospace Medicine Squadron auditorium July 16, 2016. Twelve Airmen donated blood which will go to a processing center in New Jersey to be sorted and sent overseas to aide American troops. The Wright Patt Blood Donor Center is in need mostly of O type blood because it can be given to any person in trauma situations regardless of their blood type. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
