445 OSS Airman returns from deployment
Master Sgt. Scott D. Shields, 445th Operations Support Squadron combat communications, is greeted by Lt. Col. Steve Shroder, Jr., 445th OSS commander, at the Dayton International Airport Oct. 1, 2016. Airmen from the 445th OSS, family and friends welcomed Shields back after he returned from an eight-month deployment to Guam. Shields covered a shortfall for an Air Expeditionary Force tour. While deployed, he was responsible for processing communication security material for the aircrew that were flying the lines during the deployment and supporting the commander and first sergeant at his deployed location.
