445th maintainers de-ice C-17
Airmen from the 445th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron de-ice a C-17 Globemaster III before taking off for a local training mission at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio Jan. 7, 2024. The Airmen spray the entire aircraft with Glycol. The GL-1800 de-icing trucks maneuver carefully around the aircraft to ensure the entire aircraft is spayed. They repeat the process twice to ensure no ice is left on the aircraft and that none has formed overtime before takeoff. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Joel McCullough)
