The course was more than two years in the planning and making after several delays due to scheduling and pandemic conflicts. Eight Airman from across the wing, including two instructor candidates, attended the course held at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

  • Fifteen Reserve Citizen Airmen from the 445th Airlift Wing and 655th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, volunteered at a mobile food bank delivery held at Phillips Temple Church, Trotwood, Ohio Jan. 19, 2022. Volunteers collected, sorted, organized and prepped food that included fresh fruit, vegetables, chicken and baked goods that was given to families in need within the Trotwood area. The Airmen helped serve 86 families for a total of 145 individuals.

    655th ISR Wing announces Lt Col promotions

  • Tech. Sgt. Jana Palant, 655th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group NCO in charge of readiness and training, was coined by Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force JoAnne Bass Oct. 2, 2021, for being an exceptional performer in her unit. 

Palant is an outstanding performer because she provided primary support to a quick-turn tasker in support of Operation Allies Welcome (OAW).  She immediately engaged with five units, identifying 160 possible linguists that could be short-noticed tasked to support OAW translator duties. Once the tasking came from Air Force Reserve Command, she rapidly notified three chains of command and started responding the potential deployer questions. Within 24 hours of the deployment requirement, Palant’s efforts led to the deployment of six linguists in support of OAW and ensured the safe evacuation and amalgamation of more than 6,000 vulnerable Afghans into the United States.

    63 IS officer supports COVID response

  • Tactical Systems Operator Senior Airman Joslyn Williams, 655th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Wing’s 28th Intelligence Squadron, is one of the first time deployers from the squadron. Williams excelled during her first six month deployment and is now on her second deployment down range. TSOs from the 28 IS fully integrate in the active duty mission and with the active duty aircrews.

  • Each winter, the 14th Intelligence Squadron has an annual tradition of reviewing and updating goals for the calendar year. In 2019, the squadron added an entirely new goal: to execute one official continuous process improvement event. The intent was to identify an internal process that was within their purview and to evaluate and improve it, yielding CPI experience for squadron practitioners and an improved process for the squadron.
