WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- The 655th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing announced that the Outstanding Contributor for the Month of October 2022 is Staff Sgt. Whitney Fielding, 71st Intelligence Squadron.
Fielding provided outstanding support to the 71st IS; 655th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group. Sergeant Fielding orchestrated an annual tour, temporary duty assignment to visit the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida for eight 9S100s. She served as the sole support conduit for her fellow traditional reservists, providing communications to the members, facilitating the coordination of security clearance verifications, and the collection and dissemination of information to the Commercial Travel Office for the purchase of airfare.
Staff Sgt. Fielding worked with base lodging to book accommodations and ensured all final travel orders were produced without error. Lastly, she benchmarked 9S100 mission success through her first-ever successful demonstration of mission production for more than one mission partner during a unit training assembly, thus providing a proof-of-concept, and laying a foundation for the future expansion of 9S100 mission opportunities. Fielding has proven herself to be an outstanding leader and her accomplishments reflect credit upon herself and the United States Air Force.
