The 445th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron is continuing their above average trend for mission capable rate for the wing's fleet of nine C-17 Globemaster IIIs.

MC rates measures aircraft availability for mission effectiveness and is generally used to measure fleet health and maintenance productivity. In this instance, the wing is compared with six other air reserve components flying the C-17.

During the month of June, the 445th's C-17 rate was 90.2 percent. In July, it was 95.2 percent. The Air Force Reserve Command standard is 87.5 percent.

For the number of jets assigned to the wing, the rate reflects the percentage of time over a given month AMXS maintainers were able to keep the jets in commission with no broken aircraft sitting on the ramp or in the hangar.
