Colonel THEODORE S. LISZESKI

Col. Theodore S. Liszeski is Commander of the 445th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, 445th Airlift Wing, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The 445th Aerospace Medicine Squadron supports the wing by providing medical, dental, optometry, flight medicine, outpatient and other medical program administrative services to keep Airmen world-wide qualified.

Col. Liszeski transitioned to the enlisted corps of the Air Force Reserve in 1990 after serving in the Air National Guard for 28 years. He commissioned as a medical service corps officer in 2000 while at the 180th Medical Group in Toledo, Ohio. As a member of the 180th, he functioned as a project and systems officer and eventually led the medical readiness team. He volunteered to assist the 121st Medical Group with the start of their Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP) mission. In January 2011, Col. Liszeski transferred to the 121st Medical Group/Detachment 1 to function as their medical readiness officer and continue with the CERFP mission. In December of 2015, he was assigned to command the newly formed medical detachment of the Ohio CERFP/HRF (Homeland Response Force). Prior to his current position, Col. Liszeski served as the Medical Readiness Officer for the 445th AMDS at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

As a civilian, Col. Liszeski has risen through the ranks of nursing and corporate healthcare.  At the facility level, he started as a state tested nurse’s aide and rose due to education and experience to become the Director of Nursing.  After serving as the Director of Nursing, he transitioned into healthcare informatics and took a role as a clinical software support nurse to increase his information technology skills. He is currently the Director of Clinical Information Systems and the Corporate Compliance Officer for a multistate healthcare company, Kingston Healthcare, located in Toledo.
