445th reservists are winners in 2012 AFRC media contest

Two reservists from the 445th Airlift Wing Public Affairs office won in their applicable categories in the 2012 Air Force Reserve Command Media Contest. The announcement was made March 2.

Staff Sgt. Mikhail Berlin, photographer, took first place in the pictorial photo category with his photo of a Beduin boy gathering his mules in Arad, Israel. He also won third place in the portrait/personality photograph category and tied for third place in the illustrative photograph catergory.

Senior Airman Shen-Chia McHone took second place in the personality feature article category for her article titled, "Airman rededicates life to service after 22 years."

Airmen and civilian employees from 27 organizations throughout the command submitted 290 web, print, graphic, photographic and broadcast entries to the contest. Berlin advanced to the Air Force competition, representing Air Force Reserve Command.
