445th Airlift Wing CGO of the Quarter, second quarter

Chaplain (Capt.) Brian Honett, 445th Airlift Wing Chaplain Corps, is the 445th Airlift Wing's Company Grade Officer of the Quarter, second quarter.

Honett briefed spiritual resilience to more than 175 Airmen in two days, increasing spiritual awareness across the wing. He also preached four services, reaching more than 350 Airmen and their families. Honett dedicated more than 25 hours visiting various units in the wing. He provided 13 briefings about the role of an Air Force chaplain to 96 Airmen, giving the Airmen an understanding of what a military chaplain does. The chaplain also performed five invocations for multiple functions.

Honett was the Air Force Reserve Command chaplain selected for the security forces training program Patriot Defender, where he was able to gain practical skills in preparation for future deployments in the AOR. Honett also volunteered 10 hours in marriage counseling helping three couples strengthen and save their marriage. The chaplain has completed two courses towards his Ph.D.
