Hero2Hired site offers job hunting help to reservists Published Dec. 22, 2011 WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Reservists looking for help to aid with their job hunting have a new source to turn to. The Hero2Hired program is a comprehensive on-line employment program that includes a focused marketing component. H2H is a job search and online community that is free for job seekers and employers to use. It was created to make it easy for Reserve Component service members to connect to and find jobs with military-friendly companies who are looking for employees with their training and skills. The goal of H2H is to reduce the number of Reserve Component members who are unemployed by helping them find jobs. Support is provided through the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program to Reserve Component Combat Veterans who require employment assistance. H2H allows the service member to search for jobs, explore career paths, translate their military skills into matching jobs, take a career assessment that links them to relevant careers and jobs, allows the member to learn about different industries, find education and training resources and join communities with similar interests and networking opportunities.
