445th Airlift Wing photographer wins AFRC award

Senior Airman Mikhail Berlin, 445th Airlift Wing Public Affairs photographer, won the 2010 Air Force Reserve Command Media Contest, Outstanding New Photographer category. The announcement was made March 10.

"Being selected for this award is an honor. It makes me want to continue to work harder and continue to go above and beyond in all I do," Airman Berlin said.

Airman Berlin joined the 445th public affairs staff in April 2009. His photographs have not only been posted in the Buckeye Flyer and Skywriter but have also been posted on the 445th AW's , 88th Air Base Wing's and Air Force Reserve Command's Web sites.

Airmen and civilian employees from 22 organizations submitted 198 entries to the AFRC contest; a 21 percent increase in participation compared to the previous year and the largest contest to date. Airman Berlin will advance to the Air Force competition, representing the Air Force Reserve Command.
