445th Airlift Wing Chief Master Sgt. of the Year

Chief Master Sgt. Ronald Rearick was selected as the 445th Airlift Wing Chief of the Year; which was announced at the 445 AW Annual Awards Banquet Jan. 8. Chief Rearick is the chief of operations for the 445th Civil Engineer Squadron. He ensures all squadron members are scheduled, trained and equipped to deploy overseas and to Silver Flag for training exercises. Chief Rearick worked an EPR process improvement initiative and oversaw the squadron's overdue EPR reports go from 70 overdue reports to zero within a 3-month timeframe. He saw the need to purchase more than $10,000 in cotton uniforms to provide safer operations to Airmen working with high voltage electrical circuits. Chief Rearick is the vice president of the 445 AW Chief's Group and a member of both the Wright-Patterson Chief's Group and Air Force Sergeants Association. He works with Daybreak, Inc., an outreach service for homeless youth, and volunteers with Goodwill Easter Seals. Chief Rearick has two CCAF degrees and a bachelor's degree.
