Senior Airman David Ferver, 445th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, was chosen as both the Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command Airman of the Quarter, second quarter, and the AFMC/A10 Airman of the Quarter, second quarter, July 9. He was also selected as the Airman of the Quarter for AFMC.

Airman Ferver, currently on orders as the executive administrative assistant with the AFMC/A10 directorate, manages the directorate's automated data processing equipment account that has 83 assets valued at $57K. During the award period he procured secure communications equipment at no directorate cost, saving the unit $30K. Airman Ferver leads his directorate's fundraising efforts, executing seven unit functions. The reservist was recently part of the "Corona Top" summit administration team, establishing vital support to a 3-star and two 1-star generals.

"This award wasn't just me. All of the A10 directorate, and the 445th Airlift Wing were backing me up, and guiding me to strive to improve. The training received from the 445th kept me motivated and bolstered my personal pride. It is a pleasure to come to work and be a part of a great team. This will be a constant reminder to me of what can be done when one strives to go 'above and beyond,' my personal Air Force motto," Airman Ferver said.

To win at both levels is quite an accomplishment.  Airman Ferver's package will move forward to the 88th Air Base Wing Team Wright-Patterson Awards, where he'll represent AFMC at the base level.
