Tech. Sgt. Greg Shepherd, 445th Security Forces Squadron, was selected as the 303rd Aeronautical Systems Wing quarterly award winner, reservist category, April 1. Sergeant Shepherd, currently on orders as a battlefield airmen management system technician with the 670th Aeronautical Systems Squadron, 823rd Aeronautical Systems Group, quickly learned to run the unit's self help desk serving 9,000 users. He assisted in an expansion to include Explosive Ordinance Disposal members; adding 1,200 users which is making a difference during Operation Enduring Freedom. Sergeant Shepherd was noted for solving logistics issues for equipping Airmen in the continental United States and in overseas contingency operations by devising new templates.

"It's nice to be recognized for this award, which is a direct reflection upon my immediate supervisor and the 445th Airlift Wing as a whole. I try to lead by example and charge our wing's younger Airmen to go above and beyond their peers and strive for excellence," Sergeant Shepherd said.
