Tech. Sgt. Elizabeth Brothers, 445th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, won the Dream of Flight scholarship given by the Women Military Aviators at the 21st Annual Women in Aviation International conference Feb. 27.

Sergeant Brothers, who currently holds a private pilots' license, plans to use a portion of the $2,500 scholarship to help pay for the cost to pursue an instrument rating.

"This scholarship has taken a financial burden off of me.  I can now continue to pursue my dreams in aviation," Sergeant Brothers said.

Advocating the love of aviation, WMA offers this annual scholarship to advance a young woman in her pursuit of flight ratings at an accredited institution or FAA part 141 approved flight school.
