A member of the 88th Air Base Wing Honor Guard had her re-enlistment ceremony on the flightline at the 445th Airlift Wing.

Senior Airman Carol Walker, 88th Forces Support Squadron, ceremonial guardsman, received the Oath of Enlistment in front of a C-5 Galaxy aircraft from her paternal grandfather; Col. (retired) Jacob Close, a World War II veteran who served 32 years in the Army infantry.

"Having the reenlistment on the flightline to me was a once in a life time opportunity. It was a huge honor to be able to do the enlistment oath in a true Air Force environment, especially with my Grandpa," Airman Walker said.
