Duty Title: Aerospace Medical Service Technician

Hometown: Grand Rapids, Michigan

Civilian Job: Peer Advisors for Veteran Education Team Lead at the University of Michigan

Education: I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Michigan

Career Goal: Advance to the rank of staff sergeant and continue to sharpen my skills as a medic. Though I am keeping an open mind, I aspire to one day commission and become a flight nurse.

What do you like about working at the 445th?: The 445th has given me the tools and resources to become a competent and knowledgeable Airman. I truly enjoy the opportunities we get to work with other units which allows for a sense of comradery and increased morale. The leadership in my unit cares deeply about their troops, creating a family-like work culture.

Why did you join the Air Force?: I signed up to serve my country as my grandmother (Kathy) did so many years ago. Kathy was resilient, intelligent, and kind; I strive to carry those same characteristics with me while I wear this uniform.
