WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Jacqueline Melcher, 88th Civil Engineer Group installation division director and enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe of the Great Sioux Nation, honored Maj. Dustin Honious, 445th Security Forces Squadron commander, with a star quilt during a ceremony March 28. Honious and Melcher, along with Melcher’s husband Tech. Sgt. Robert Melcher, 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron flightline production expediter, acted selflessly and dove into danger, trying to save two victims from a head-on vehicle crash in Chester Township, Oct. 16, 2022.
