To the Airmen of the U.S. Air Force:

Since 1919, we have paused as a nation each Armistice Day to remember the service and sacrifice of the men and women who defended our way of life. This Veterans Day, we continue this worthy tradition, thanking our 22 million American veterans, including 4 million U.S. Air Force veterans, for their selfless service.

Today, your relentless commitment to defend the homeland, own the high ground and project power with our allies ensures future generations will also enjoy the liberties veterans and their families secured on our behalf.

Together, we are humbled and privileged to carry this commitment forward as we answer the nation’s call. Whether you are fighting from home or serving abroad, we are honored to be America’s air and space sentinels and grateful for the sacred trust our citizens place in the Air Force.

Please join us in thanking our veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice for our great nation.  We are honored to serve at your side.
