Yellow Ribbon Program provides deployment assistance

Many of you have attended a Yellow Ribbon event as part of your pre- and post-deployment activities. These events are intended to provide your families with sufficient information on available services, provide referrals to these services as appropriate, and sustain the proactive outreach opportunities to assist you throughout the deployment cycle. Great progress has been made since the program began, and my staff continues to work closely with OSD on additional improvements.

To ensure content consistencies in all the events and to take the planning burden off each of your organizations, HQ AFRC has contracted for 25 regional events during FY11 beginning in October 2010. Additional information can be found on the Yellow Ribbon Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Warner-Robins-GA/Air-Force-Reserve-Command-Yellow-Ribbon-Program/132909600088298.

Taking care of our Airmen is one of my top priorities. I encourage you and your family to attend the nearest event when deployment planning.

Until next time,

CS
