Operations Building dedicated in honor of Maj. LeRoy Homer
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio -- Lt. Col. Chris Clark, 445th Operations Group deputy commander, welcomes Ms. Ilse Homer, Maj. LeRoy W. Homer, Jr.’s mother, prior to the Operations Building dedication Oct. 4, 2008, at the 445th Airlift Wing. The wing dedicated the building in honor of Maj. Homer’s dedicated service as a citizen Airmen. Maj. Homer had been assigned to the 445th Airlift Wing from 1995 to 2000 and died Sept. 11, 2001, while serving as the first officer on United Airlines Flight 93. (Air Force photo/Ben Strasser)
