Greater Dayton area civic leaders tour Air Force Academy

Nineteen Greater Dayton area civic leaders participated in a civic leader tour hosted by the 445th Airlift Wing Oct. 9-10 at both Peterson Air Force Base and the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The group left Wright-Patterson Air Force Base onboard one of the wing’s C-17 Globemaster IIIs to Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio --

Nineteen Greater Dayton area civic leaders participated in a civic leader tour hosted by the 445th Airlift Wing Oct. 9-10 at both Peterson Air Force Base and the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The group left Wright-Patterson Air Force Base onboard one of the wing’s C-17 Globemaster IIIs to Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. The 445th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron provided a hands-on demonstration on what they do during the flight. While in Colorado, the civic leaders had the opportunity to learn more about the Air Force Reserve’s role in the firefighting mission and how AFRC supports the Air Force Academy among other missions.
