  • 50th IS Airman involved with Yuba Sutter Veterans Stand Down event

    Staff Sgt. Breona Calvert, 50th Intelligence Squadron, commander’s support staff, not only volunteered for the Yuba Sutter 20th Year Stand Down event August 21-23 2019, she found the event a great learning experience and rewarding. The event was held at the Cotton Rosser Pavillion, Riverfront Park in Marysville, California.
  • 445th MXS emphasizes leadership at every level

    Airmen from the 445th Maintenance Squadron, working to replicate and reinforce the positive impact that the Airman’s Council has on unit effectiveness at the wing level, created their own version of the program at the squadron level. It shares many of the characteristics of the wing’s Airman’s Council and is heavily focused on squadron morale and unit cohesion.
  • 445th LRS completes AT in Germany

    Airmen from the 445th Logistics Readiness Squadron had the opportunity to perform their annual tour at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, in June, working along with their counterparts from the 52nd Logistics Readiness Squadron. Some of the work performed by the Reserve Citizen Airmen included assisting customers at the Traffic Management Office, processing materials and parts used to support missions at other locations and performing vehicle operations duties.

    Reserve Citizen Airmen from the 445th Security Forces Squadron travelled to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany to complete their annual tour June 15-29, 2019. The Airmen not only conducted training but also provided backfill with their counterparts from the 52nd Fighter Wing to ensure mission readiness.

    Many Americans remember Sept. 11 as the day time stopped. Most can recall exactly where they were and what they were doing when the horrific news footage began rolling across TV screens nationwide. In less than one hour’s time, 19 terrorists overtook four flights during an unprecedented attack on American soil. The first two flights struck the World Trade Center, killing nearly 3,000 people and injuring 6,000 more. The third flight struck the Pentagon, killing more than 100 people. A fourth flight, United 93, never reached its intended target.

The AFE Airmen, part of the 445th Operations Support Squadron, maintain the safety and emergency equipment for aircrew and passengers departing from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
