Forty one exercise evaluation team members from the 445th Airlift Wing flew to March Air Reserve Base, Calif., Dec. 2 to participate in a two-day EET seminar with their counterparts from the 452nd Air Mobility Wing from March ARB.

445th reservists left Ohio on board a 445th AW C-17 Globemaster III and was accompanied by members of the 445th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron who used the flight to and from California as a training mission.

Once at March, Lt. Col. Rich Alexandersen, Chief of Operational Readiness Training, 22nd Air Force, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga., led the group of more than 100 EET members through an EET seminar Dec. 3 and 4. Alexandersen used a classroom environment to provide the group information on their role as EET members and what they need to do to help prepare their wing for a successful operational readiness inspection.

For Master Sgt. John Westermeyer, 87th Aerial Port Squadron, air transportation superintendant, this is his first time serving as an EET. He said the seminar gave him information that he can use to take back to his unit for ORI preparation.

"Lt. Col. Alexandersen really put into perspective the duties of an EET. In some ways I'll be serving as a kind of life coach, a teacher of principles. I know I'm not going to just teach the test. I'm feeling pretty good about what my role is and where I'll fit in."
