The wing recently recruited a new airman into the 445th Security Forces Squadron who is already proving to be a stellar performer before arriving on station. Airman Drew Brenner's career started off when he earned distinguished graduate at both basic military training and security forces technical training school.

By the time Airman Brenner graduated technical school June 10, he had not one but five ribbons on his uniform; Basic Military Training Honor Graduate Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Small Arms Expert Markmanship Ribbon, and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Airman Brenner told his recruiter, Master Sgt. Robert McDonald, 445th Airlift Wing Recruiting Squadron, that basic training wasn't difficult at all. His best advice for a new recruit is to be sure to use your self-discipline and you will do fine.
