A dozen reservists from the 445th Security Forces Squadron arrived at Dayton International Airport, Ohio, Aug. 6 after spending six months at Kirkuk Regional Air Base, Iraq.

While overseas, the Airmen belonged to the 506th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron.

"Kirkuk is where the Air Force Reserve has been providing the majority of the security forces supporting the installation," said Master Sgt. John Koehl, 445th SFS first sergeant.

The reservists will remain on orders for more than a month to complete in-processing at their home unit and to use leave they earned while activated.

The 445th Airlift Wing has about 100 Airmen deployed at any given time and about three-fourths of them are in Iraq or Afghanistan.
