New command chief for 4th Air Force

Incoming 4th Air Force Commander, Brig. Gen. John C. Flournoy, has selected Chief Master Sgt. Brian Wong of the Air Reserve Personnel Center to serve as 4th Air Force Command Chief.

As the command chief, Wong will advise the 4th Air Force commander on all enlisted matters at the highest level of enlisted leadership.

Wong is a Hawaii native who entered the Air Force Reserve in 1982 where he served as an air freight apprentice for the 48th Aerial Port Squadron at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

In Hawaii, he served as a load planner, cargo services supervisor, standard evaluation quality control NCO, Air Freight superintendent, Squadron Chief Enlisted Manager before ultimately becming the Command Chief for the unit.

In addition to military service, Wong possesses more than 20 years of corporate supervisory and management experience.
